What We Do
Education
We host educational events on farming practices that help protect water quality. Topics include no-till, cover crops, rotational grazing, nutrient management, and how these practices work in our local growing and soil conditions.
Incentive program
Our incentive program is designed to help farmers get started with practices that protect water quality. We want to shorten the learning curve so farmers can see benefits sooner. We are currently offering financial assistance for soil testing and cover crops as well as a mentoring opportunity to farmers want to learn how to make conservation practices work on their farm.
For details on our current incentive program, see the Incentive Program page. To sign up or ask questions, contact Brent Edlin at 715-468-4654 or bedlin@co.washburn.wi.us
